Hello everyone,

Want to give growing tobacco a try this coming spring. Looking for something "easy" to get my hands wet with. I been looking at Northwoods multi packs, thinking that might be the best route to take. I figure with their instructions and multi seed packs I should be able to get some done next year.

I was curious if any of you guys had any experience with the "Caribbean Cigar Blend" or " American Cigar Blend" blend seed packs. If so, how did they come out and taste? Is one pack of seeds more forgiving to grow/harvest than the other?

Like I mentioned, I'm new to this and any help would be greatly appreciated! TY.

I guess no one uses the seed packs?

Any recommendations as to what seeds would be good to start with?

Thanks.

I do not doubt that, and Ill take that into serious consideration.
However its not that simple. First I have learned to work with my 2 very different variants of the tobacco plant, I think they are burley and virginia. I might have mixed it up, they might be something else, or I may be a fool.
But it works, I have now learned how to grow them and not the least to cure and ferment them to a reasonable product.

BTW, thats a mighty disadvantage of the internet, that brings the whole knowledge of the world into arms length, it does not bring the feeling close. I cannot feel and compare leaves with other growers and I cannot see if my product is state of the art or not. I can only compare pictures and words not the real product. So for formulars and recipes the internet is amazing. But with quality control, you are still lost.
Now I have a million billion burley seeds, but no virginias (on purpose), and Im tempted to buy the virginia seeds I need for next year from the same supplier, to get the same genetical strain, that went well in 2016 and 2015.
However I might add some turkish to the blend, and that would come from skychaser.
