Hello Everyone, I've enjoyed reading through this forum. I'm a long time grower of many types of vegetables, but never tobacco. I will give it a try next spring, and I intend to plant about 80 plants.

I like a smooth and rich cigar, a Camacho Triple Maduro or Acid Kuba Maduro comes to mind. From the research I've done, I see that producing Maduro is a long process. I'm Ok with that, even if I can come close to that flavor.

My top picks for strains right now, according to what I've read here are:

1) Florida Sumatra
2) Glessnor
3) Havana 142
3) Wisconsin Seedleaf

I'd like to grow no more than 4 strains for simplicity.

I realize that this is a tough question to answer, and any input is appreciated.

Tough question? What question? ;)

Sorry... I had to be that guy...

I take it you're looking for suggestions right? Sadly.. I have none. But I do like the Acid you mentioned. So I will follow to hear others' suggestions.

Thank you much for the suggestions. I don't recognize quite a few of those strains. Where could I buy seed that has these available?
