I just finished making my own cigar mold, thought I would share it with everyone here. I know most of you are looking for fancy authentic cigar molds, but hey, it's practical and it works for me. This is how to make it:
First, get (2) 5x12x1 (12.7cm x 30.5cm x 2.54cm) boards. The size doesn't really matter, but make sure they are at least 3/4 inch thick.
Secure the boards to each other, so they line up evenly (I used duct tape) and drill holes in each corner, I forget what size but just big enough to fit small bolts.
Next you will need to get 4 small bolts and wingnuts, make sure they fit and go through both pieces of wood. Put them through each hole and tighten the wing-nuts. This will hold the boards together when you drill the holes for the cigars.
Mark the holes and drill them. I recommend using a drill press so the molds are straight. I used a 5/8 drill bit, and made 5 holes but you can use other sizes and make more or less holes if you want. This is the finished product:
EDIT: 5/8 inch = 40 ring gauge
