I have an idea for a more cost and energy effective method of kilning tobacco.
Would using the sun work if I say left a jar of colour cured tobacco in the sun for a few weeks/mabe longer until it doesnt stink anymore. I have tried this with smaller amounts, just curious if this does work or am I wasting my time

Sure, run a search for 'dashboard curing' a bunch of guys were talking about some time ago...
If it's damp in there, it must be vented or a jar could explode from internal pressure.
The dashboard method pretty much used plastic bags and vented them daily, but there were a few pops in there ! :-)
All fun stuff !
