Really, if you're only growing one plant put it that west window. As it grows if it looks like it is light deficient go to HD and get one of those work light disk that will hold a 100 watt bulb in it and put the largest cfl light you can put in it and turn it on for 8 hrs. But I don't think you'll need it.

still like my answer 20 watts cfl or floresssant cool lights per 1 sq. ft no mater how many plants more plants more sq.ft. some west windows donot have sun light on them. lee

For the most part your not looking for watts it's all about lumins the more the better! Also color temp 5000k to 6500k because you want something more on the blue spectrum for plant growth. The way I have my grow set up I have a 5ft long stand that I made with 2x4s and reflective material to bounce the light down on the plants I have 4 23w 5000k 1600 lummin cfl's and a 4ft 2 bulb shop light 6500k that puts out something like 3500 lummins per bulb. This setup has done really well for me so far.
