Checked baccy this morning and all is well! Removed plastic cover and lifted closer to light. Will watch closely in the event distance needs to be improved. Went to bed with 60 burley sprouts, woke up to 80!! Virginia only showing original 20 sprouts.

Temps been holding since planting between 77 and 84, keeping misted well but not saturated.

Virginia G question, should I expect more sprouts or is what comes up initialy what you get?

Wait a few days and could be more.

If all the seed comes from the same batch, was sown in the same manner, stored in the same conditions, then they should all germinate within a few days of eachother. Now if it's different seed from different suppliers, then weeks of waiting may be necessary.

The germination rate will be different depending when the seed was harvested. If they were harvested prior to the pod being ready then only the seed that was mature at the time will sprout. How and where seeds are stored will also affect germination.

It is late in the year now but next year PM me and I will send some VA gold I grew in 2009 that still has 90% germination rate. I grew very little VA last year ( troubled year plant wise) but I will be happy to send some from that harvest also even though the germination rate appears to be lower.
