For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude.” (1 Timothy 4:1-4)

"Tobacco is dangerous and it kills".
But there are many people who cultivate tobacco because of its health benefits. From the book, "The health benefits of tobacco" written by Dr. William Douglas, it is clear that there are numerous benefits for tobacco cultivation. He also conducted many research and studies for the same. It is not about cigarette smoking, tobacco as a plant for that is what it is.
I would like to list out some of the facts about tobacco usage:
1) Thyroid cancer is usually less common in women who smoke.
2) Gum disease is comparatively less for moderate smokers than nonsmokers.
3) Smoking reduces depression and anxiety.
4) Using tobacco also reduces cholesterol, acne, obesity, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

This is what I could read in a blog. I was really surprised to see this plentiful benefits of using tobacco. I have a huge yard far away from my house where I am growing some veggies like lettuce, celery, and herbs. My husband also helps me in maintaining the garden. He is a chain smoker. He also uses vapor genie. When I told him about growing tobacco he was really excited. Now, we have planned to grow Virginia gold tobacco in the yard. What are the specific requirements for its cultivation? I have a garden shed(my workspace) in the yard where I use to keep the tools and equipment. Please share your valuable tips and suggestion for the same.

Welcome aboard HTGT !

You will find Roy has everything arranged in a consecutive order of the growing process.
All the various threads contain valuable info, including the Photo Gallery.

Tobacco is in the solanaceae family so just about everything that applies to tomatoes works.
It's most likely you will not need fertilizer.

Tobacco does like to have it's feet dry, so allow it to do so between waterings.

Best
