I've had a lot happen the last few months that prevented me from starting this year's crop like I wanted to. Like during the two weeks centered around my birthday in February I had 4 water pipes break on me, one each time, always late in the evening when Lowe's and such are closing. Then family matters popped up in March. I'm hoping that the rest of this month cams the **** down so I can get some things accomplished that doesn't involve me handling some kind of emergency.

Hopefully I haven't had to wait too long for this year's crop. It was bad enough I missed last year's because of puppies digging up all my planters.

Yep. Sometimes there's more bumps on the airstrip than you can count.
Best thing to do is at least scratch the ground and toss some out when it's wet.
You can get fancy with indoor germination and all the proper stuff when you see the possibility of liftoff.
Or, dig up the volunteers when you notice they are obviously clustered too close and line 'em up somewhere.
...seeds really do want to grow !
YMMV
