Every morning I get up, check my garden and water according to schedule.

Today I found tiny bit marks all over 2 of my tobacco plants and a number of leaves snapped, had to scrap them :( I can only assume it is my neighbors cat going by the teeth marks...

Has anyone else had this before?

Nope. I doubt cats would touch them. Ours never have. Most likely it is birds pecking at insects. I've seen that a few times. Sometimes they break off small leaves, make marks on them and poke holes in them while trying to catch bugs.

I'd agree with that. The thrushes in my garden loved it when I disturbed the ground and planted something. I had quite a few peck and stomp marks at the start and couldn't figure why leaves would be buried late in the day until I watched them one evening
