First have your recipe ready to start the cavendish. Pot, tobacco leaf, press ect.
{For cherry}, get a bottle of VO, 4 lbs. of black cherries, and a gallon jar. Rinse fruit and hands- then pinch the cherries, and save the skins. put the vo in the jar with the cherry skins for 4 weeks. Strain the vo.(eat the skins)- Now the leaf has been the steam at 190-200 deg. for that long, should be black. Add the contents of the jar over the tobacco. bring the temp up to 115 deg. with lid ajar so the alcohol will evaporate and condence the true flavor in the leaf. That is another week. Now press as normal and cut. The cherries to look for is PRUNUS SEROTINA (wild black cherries)- Use VG and Burley, dark flue. or broken flake, fire cure. Enjoy. Mad- TIP: The better the VO, the better the end cavendish. Don't be cheap on this part. The vo is distilled over seven times to make VO. Not conventional whisky, or the like.
