Hey there guys!

Would love to hear from some New Zealand growers!

Most of the growers - especially the helpful/chatty ones around here are from the US,
Nothing wrong with that, but would love to see some kiwi's sharing some info as well!

Thought this would be a good place for everyone to get intro's out of the way and post a few links to grow logs,
and even any Q&A's that people have. Would be nice to get some advice from people who've grown in the
same kinds of areas/conditions!

So I guess I start with an intro of myself.

I'm Samuel - most know me as Sam or Sammyb
I'm based in South Canterbury
First time grower - about to start
Been smoking for a few years
And I'm 18 years old.

So - who else is around eh?

Kia ora Sammy! Good to see more Kiwis on here. I've been growing for 3 years now and, wow, saved myself heaps of money. Though I still mix my home grown with commercial, as it's not quite as strong as I like it. Have only ever grown Golden Newt (from Kings Seeds), which I think is a type of Virginian tobacco, but this year I've got a hold of some Burley Original and Izmir (Turkish), which should pep things up a bit. Can't wait til they come through!

Well, I've got a bunch of different strains, which are all currently 6-7 foot high ;) Flowers popping up all over the place. Am going to have seeds damn galore.

Hope you have covered the flower heads with bags. Other wise your strains will not be pure.
I'm in Christchurch btw

Not many kiwi's in here...

Just joined, have some seeds I've been meaning to grow for several years...

Not sure on seasons and the like, but keen to learn (not least of all, because the cost of tobacco is just outrageous)...

Name's Dean, by the way...

This might be the wrong season, down under...

It is fun to grow indoors... They do make a pretty houseplant, and may be taken outdoors when spring arrives.

Best
