Does anyone know why a shredder would start cutting wider then it should?
I have the tabletop shredder from Whole Leaf. It is only 6 weeks old. I have looked but can't find a problem.
Thanks

The factory sharp edge of the blades has worn down a bit ??

How do you tell if they are worn down?? Should the leaf be dried out some more maybe?
Thanks for the help!

if the shredder begins making more dust per run, everything else remaining the same, (moisture level, run time, actual amount, stems), it could be an indication.
if the shred appears larger, or torn, (microscopically), perhaps it has lost it's sharpest of edges, or the other factors such as moisture content have changed.
Higher moisture level will allow the leaf to bend, a very little bit more than a drier leaf, when impacted by the blade, before the actual shearing action occurs.

Of course these small shredders are not precision tools and results will vary quite a bit, and perhaps could change, quickly...
The burn quality probably will not be affected noticeably until significant variation occurs.

I use a scissors for shredding leaf, effectively.

Best
