 Post subject: First attempt at growing own - Trying to identify....

Hello,

Ive been attempting to grow my own tabbaco for the last 4 months or so, purchased some seedlings from a roadside seller, planted them, and let them go...

Now trying to work out what strain it is...

Any ideas?

Looks like silver river to Me. There are over 2,500 types. On silver river, the leaf will tend to roll over more so than most. The ones I grew, would roll over and show the under side of the leaf when hot or in the after noon. Mad- Just a thought. Sky would have a better idea by looking.

Nah, it's not Silver River. It has a very characteristic look to it when it's mature, and takes forever to start blooming. And I doubt many people outside of our little circle of friends would have Silver River seed.

It's hard to say what it is. The flower head looks like a burley type to me, but the leaves are darker green than most burleys. The color, shape and veins in the leaves remind me of Big Gem, which is a bright leaf type. lol So who knows.

If you can get a wider angle photo of the entire plant, I might have a better guess.
