Thank you Roy for this site. I had thought about growing tobacco a few years before I actually did it and then I came across this site. After reading what other had done and what to expect I grew My first plants (just one strain of Burley and one of Virginia). I don't believe I would have gone through with it if it was not for the support from this site.

Even though nothing teaches you more than actually growing your own this site helped me avoid most pitfalls and gave me a forum to turn to when needed. I was able to stay on top of the tobacco worms and to be wary of neighbors (I have had plants and leaf stolen). After the first crop was harvested (2009) it has continued to be a learning experience but one I continue to enjoy. Thanks again brother.

I just went back and started reading earlier post and can see how much a lot of us got from this site. I don't think I would have followed through had the site not been around.

Agreed!

Tnx Roy!

I'd probably still be using B-21 burley, only!

Yep, after thinking about growing tobacco I did an internet search and came up with this site. A grow log by Chilarbee to be exact. I was mighty impressed with his experiance so continued to read more. This site and the people on it are almost soley responsible for me growing for the first time this year.

Great site Roy!

Yes, I too have been helped by reading about the experience of others on this site. This is only my second year of growing and I've been helped by the advice of the growers here and the banter back and forth amongst us. Thank you Roy,

Mick
