Today I spent a couple hours priming and hanging some of my Bright Leaf and Golden Burley plants. I came inside and washed up for lunch. Out of habit I wiped my freshly washed damp hand over my head to correct any wild hairs. There was no need to do that. It felt like I was wearing a helmet of hair spray. Apparently, when you spend a while walking amongst 8 foot tobacco plants soaked in resin and oil, it will give your head a heck of a coating. On the bright side, if I'm ever stranded, I can always roll up some of my hair for a quick nic fix.

Yep...
Got my yearly haircut just the other day... every year now, just before harvest time.
Buzz it all off. Wash n' wear works well for a gardener!

3 x 3 spacing on the plants is a big advantage when tending them... and 4ft aisles.
I always end up with less spacing than I had hoped for.

Good to hear you got plants growing to 8ft! Mine are far smaller.
Best

Some of them have surpassed 8 feet at this point, including the flowers at least a dozen of my Virginia Bright leaf plants are at 12-13 feet. It's unbelievable. I have no clue how I'm going to prime those leaves.

Well, unless you can stand on the seat of a bicycle that's on the kickstand you're gonna need to buy a step ladder...

Or, cut off the stalks at eye level and stalk cure 'em.

Leave the rest in the ground to see what you might get for 2nd growth entertainment.
