Thanks for the replies. Day before I topped around 40 Aztecs. How many leaves should be left for 1 Aztec plant? There are around 20 suckers on each plant and about 10-15 large leaves .. seems it is not enough, so I left the suckers in the hope that they will grow into large leafs. And when to harvest. With ordinary tobacco its clear , 20 leaves and harvest 2-3 weeks after topping. But for Rustica I cant find in google and in this forum.

The main focus I put on ordinary tobacco in my greenhouse. That tobacco is not too sticky when compared to years ago when I started late summer, without the plastic film and outside was +15C and regularly rained. Even then it was sticky and died bugs were in hundreds on and under every plant. I was not bound that fact with nicotine, because I feel no nicotine hit when smoked. Though there were some other alkaloid that killed bugs.

Anyway, now in my greenhouse, my hand must travel along 5 big leafs throughout in order to remain a little sticky fingers. Perhaps, however, the UV deficiency affects the formation of nicotine and should I remove the film, while outside is still warm? Also it should be noted that this year I fertilized 2-3 times more nitrogen above normal, last nitrate portion a give them 2 days ago (plants that have topped 2 weeks ago). Because one man terrified me with low nitrogen last years.

In general, stickiness can be attributed to nicotine, if Wikipedia is written that nicotine is water-soluble? But tobacco sticky mass can not even wash with soap? Samsun is most sticky strain, but everywhere says that it does not contain nicotine, almost.

I have long wanted to make nicotine analysis. But Google can not find anything simple, without mass spectrometer. I have a small Laboratory from high school years, because chemistry was my hobby. Mainly inorganic. With organic substances are poorer, but I can freely buy and do it technically , if there is a description of the procedure?
