Is it alright to trade seeds on this forum, with other members?

I am waiting for Roy to get back to me on this I sent him a message recently but he hasn't checked his messages yet.

In my opinion adding a dedicated seedswap section would be beneficial as it would give people the opportunity to try new varieties. However I think we would need to set up some rules for it so it can't be abused by people looking for free seeds & it should be strictly limited to seed swaps only no cash should change hands as it would not be in keeping with this being a non-commercial site. Some members have swapped seeds myself included but I believe all negotiations have gone on via PMs.

Obviously it is Roy's site & he gets the final say so he is the only person who can give us a definitive answer.

Lol I'm guilty of not checking my messages since last weekend... I kinda like the idea but think it would be an un-neccessary risk for us.
Like Caliginous said we need to be careful what we do. My initial concerns at this point are the fallout that could happen when deals go bad and people vent and fight here. Legal problems may arise should minors or people located in countries where tobacco growing is illegal do trades.
I don't know if encouraging seed swaps by providing a forum for them would open us up to liability or not but I don't want to pay a lawyer to find-out.
Thanks for the suggestion. It may be a good one but since this is a hobby website with zero income we don't have the resources to really explore it. I think trades should remain in private for now.
